For a beautiful detached home in Bussum, Studio Å has developed a completely new exterior design. The design incorporates two modern extensions, both finished with high‑quality wooden cladding made from thermally treated ayous in vertical planks. This durable and elegant material gives the residence a warm and contemporary appearance.

The façade is enhanced with subtle up‑ and downlights that create an atmospheric lighting effect in the evening and accentuate the architectural lines of the home. Around the property, large-format terrace tiles have been installed, giving the exterior a luxurious and spacious feel.

Two different detailing solutions were applied to the roof edges. The higher extension features a minimalist exposed gutter, while the lower extension is finished with a fascia board that aligns with the original character of the house. Stylish zinc downpipes and modern, slim aluminium window frames complete the refined and timeless look.

The new window frames include generous French doors, allowing the interior spaces to seamlessly connect with the garden. This strengthens the sense of light, openness, and outdoor living, making the exterior design perfectly suited to contemporary living preferences.
